The Garden of Dreams

LIVING LIES

At each breath I take
I feel my heart would break
Your love not meant for me
But for someone else
Moments precious and fragile
Shattered now by your betrayal Only now do I mourn
For if only I've known
Your sweet words laced with deceit
Would only cause me pain and defeat

SUNSET

The remains of the day
Has yet to run out
And what glee 'tis to witness
Its glorified sweet harmony

“tis pure joy in feeling
the mere fact that we are living

and no matter what path we take
He is there to protect and guide

ODE TO AN ANGEL
The smile wears she
Seem like rays of light upon me
Yet believe I not nor agree
This angel I behold and see
Bears an affliction, unjust it be

My heart yields torrent of rains
so doth the trees who bore her pains
Despite this, her hopeful heart sings
For she has done enough good things

And then asked the Lord I
What had brought this and sigh
For “tis this wretched, evil disease
Has her bound to pay lifes lease

And many do love her and many do still
And many do fascinate and wonder
What can be her source of strength and will
Must be from He who lives in the heavens yonder

WHEN THE HOUR GROWS LATE

When the hour grows late
The moon transcends across the sky
Forming eerie separation of clouds
Like lovers that bid goodbye

While from an ardent gaze
Upon some divine event
The night is my Athena
As the time is now spent

And the creatures that hover below
Whisper in the darkest nooks
Of quiet sufferance they go
Amid scowls and dirty looks

FROM AFAR

Abrupt hands seize his wrists
As his mind is muffled by a bullet
Alas, another name crossed off the list
To silence a delirious threat

The ocean cries out to me
Throwing a pebble to my chest
Remembering a blissful memory
When my life was once at best

Terror provokes fear in thought
And insanity breeds mere children
These pointless wars have been fought
Still neither side agrees to be beaten

Enfold my heart
In one last embrace
As I peacefully depart
From this God-forsaken place
